TRAINING OF JOURNALISTS IN ARABIC SPEAKING COUNTRIES 2017 & 2019
The Rainbow Fund finances the training of Arabic speaking journalists from the Middle East and North Africa, which is carried out by OutRight Action International. The training is about dispelling the most common misconceptions about gender and sexuality in order to strengthen journalists’ reporting on LGBTQ issues. An extended training was held in 2019, when leaders from civil society also took part.

The purpose of the Fund is to financially help HBTQ people around the world, as well as individuals, primarily in countries where HBTQ people are stalked and harassed by authorities, police and religious institutions.
Our funds will not go to organisations or individuals who do not respect human rights and freedoms. These include racism, and antisemitism, sexism and children’s rights.
