HOUSE OF RAINBOW, AFRICA 2016-2017
The Rainbow Fund supports the House of Rainbow, which works in several African countries to strengthen LGBTQ individuals in their everyday lives. In the project funded by the Rainbow Fund, in addition to work with safe houses in Nigeria, operations in Botswana and South Africa also receive financial backing, including sexual health, a safe house and meeting place in the shantytown of Belleville in Cape Town and training in LGBTQ issues in Botswana’s capital Gabarone. The project also includes information material that will be distributed in the 14 countries in the region where the House of Rainbow operates.
